Julianna (Eleanor’s Mother/Shadow, costume/prop/mask crew)
Theatre is something in Julianna’s life she never will part with, and she looks forward to studying theatre design in college next year. Julianna is planning to find a prince and become the princess of Scotland on this trip. Her dream is to own five castles. If you are interested in making her your princess, call 555-1012.
Kaeleigh (Joel’s Mother/Shadow/Ensemble)
Kaeleigh is thrilled to be a part of Where to Begin! Past productions include Hansel and Gretel (Ensemble), Aida (Handmaiden/Nubian Slave), and Beauty and the Beast (Belle). She is extremely excited to perform in the Fringe Festival and can’t wait to go to Scotland with everyone!
Noelle (Troubadour/Kid from Here/Shadow)
Noelle is so excited to be part of Where to Begin! Her previous credits include As You Like It (Jaquis) and 9 to 5 (ensemble). She can’t wait to journey to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the cast, who have become a family to her.
Kennedy (The Messenger/Sadie’s Mother)
Kennedy is ecstatic about playing the Messenger in Where to Begin! Previous credits include As You Like It (Denis), Beauty and the Beast (Wardrobe), 9 to 5, and Rent (ensemble). She is a former member of the Kids Advisory Board to Broadway. When Kennedy isn’t rehearsing, she is fan-girling over Broadway stars and doing a killer Ethel Merman impression. Don’t forget to be awesome!
Jimmy (Joel, puppetry construction)
Jimmy is absolutely elated to play Joel in Where to Begin and is pleasantly surprised — yet a bit scared — that he is one of the members in charge of puppetry construction. His recent endeavors include As You Like It (Orlando) and the NJ Thespian Festival, where he was recognized for excellence in a pantomime duet and a dramatic monologue that received a Judge’s Select Award. For the past ten years Jimmy has played ice hockey, but it was this year he found his true passion in theatre.
Caroline is thrilled to be given such an amazing opportunity and will absolutely, without a doubt, love every second of it. The cast feels like her second family, and what more could she ever ask for? For the past nine years Caroline has been acting with the help and encouragement of her father, and she is as happy as can be performing alongside her best friends. She cannot wait to have the experience of a lifetime.
Michael (The Scribe, costume/media/music crew)
Michael is excited to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His previous productions include The Odyssey and As You Like It. He was recently recognized for his superior work in both improv and costume design at the NJ Thespian Festival. Michael intends to continue his theatre work past high school and is grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
Alec (Joel’s Father/Shadow/Ensemble)
Alec is extremely excited to be traveling across the ocean to do something he loves — acting. He is also honored to be tackling such important topics with people so close to him.
Jasmine (assistant stage manager, props and mask crew)
Jasmine is ecstatic to help on the stage managing team for an original production that will be performed in a once in a life time opportunity, at the Fringe Festival. In her free time, she relishes in her cat like wonders.
Jake (Eleanor’s Father/Shadow/Ensemble, puppet construction)
Jacob is super pumped to go to Scotland with his favorite biddies. His acting career, which started in preschool with his titular role in The Cap Man, has included many fantastic productions such as Aida and Broadway’s 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee where he was a contestant next to Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Josh Gad. He can’t wait to build some puppets and visit The World’s End.
Taylor (Town Crier/Kid from There/Shadow)
Taylor is a charming individual determined to make others smile at his whimsical antics. He is like a ray of sunshine to everyone he meets and is very passionate about his work on stage. He is excited for his greatest adventure yet across the Atlantic Ocean to the hills of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Lexi is overwhelmingly excited to be invited to this once in a lifetime opportunity — performing at the Fringe Festival! With the dedication of her fellow troupe members, and the love and support of her family, she will embark on this amazing journey to spread awareness on teenage mental health both in NJ/NYC and in Scotland. Lexi has had a profound love for the theatre since the age of 6 and has performed in Eloise, Annie, Aida, Thoroughly Modern Millie, 9 to 5, and As You Like It. Lexi has no words to describe her excitement of being Sadie in Where to Begin!
Sydney (The Darkness/The Light)
Sydney is extremely honored to have this amazing opportunity to shed a different light on teenage mental health issues and share this very important message internationally. Some previous credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ethel Peas), The Oddessy (Eurycleia), 9 to 5 (Ensemble), As You Like It (Audrey), and Into the Woods (Jack’s Mother). Sydney plans to pursue theatre as a college major and as a career. Yes, she knows this is risky, but the heart wants what the heart wants. She thanks everyone for their support in the fellowship’s venture to Scotland!
Mary (Mercenary/Kid from Nowhere Special/Shadow)
Mary is super psyched to be a part of this amazing cast! Her previous productions include Annie, Aida, Beauty and the Beast, The Odyssey, and As You Like It. She knows this is an experience she will remember for the rest of her life.
Tommy (Sadie’s Father/Shadow/Ensemble)
Tommy is both looking forward to acting in his role and to exploring the UK and its culture. He hopes to become a voice actor with the skills he gains in this amazing experience.
Marissa (prop/mask crew, photography/graphic design)
Marissa is super excited that her first adventure overseas will be with such a wonderful group of people. Her past productions include Into The Woods, As You Like It, The Odyssey, and Alice in Wonderland. While she is typically found backstage, she will occasionally venture into the stage lights. This is not one of those times. She cannot wait to be a part of the Fringe Festival.
Eric (stage manager)
Eric humbly assumes his role as Stage Manager for the most ambitious show he has ever participated in. He dedicates the entirety of his theatrical efforts to his lifelong inspiration, Emma Watson.
Laura Williams (Designer)
Laura will be graduating in May from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University with a BFA in theater design (set design concentration). Laura is an alumni of Robbinsville High School, having worked endless roles there in the theater department including, but not limited to, stage manager, props master, and even occasionally actor. Laura’s professional credits include props artisan at The Public Theater, props master at Bucks County Playhouse, and props master at The Princeton Festival. In addition, she does a great amount of overhire work as a carpenter, scene painter, and puppet designer and artisan. This past fall, she ventured into the world of directing with her widely acclaimed production The R&J Project.
